Bear in the rear-view mirror

Corky is a quick thinker.  Driving out Clubhouse Road, he spotted this bear in his mirror and quickly got 3 shots.  

The Sweet Arrow Lake Eagles are parents again.  At least one Eaglet has been spotted and photographed.

Ron Does it again!

Stocking trout for opening day 2014

The Northern Swatara Creek Watershed Association, Swatara Cooperative Nursery stocked 1,000 trout on March 27th for opening day March 29th.  This was the most difficult ever attempted.  Since NSCWA started stocking in 1999, they have never had to stock through the ice.  Lamar Butler prepped the stocking areas with his splitting maul.

Here's a picture of the bald eagle that landed in a tree near the dam on Feb. 9th, 2014! I was very excited....never saw one up close like this!

Nice ice fishing Bass

February 1st, 2014 was a lucky day for Jim Baker of Mahanoy City.  He caught 2 nice Bass through the ice weighing 2.5 and 4.5 lbs.

Here are pictures of my husband’s Uncle, Robert Kahler, who caught this beautiful bass at Sweet Arrow last March! He said it’s the biggest one he ever caught in the lake and he was thrilled!
